About the hike

This two-day mountain weekend explores the wild landscapes of Sutjeska National Park and the highest peak in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Day one is a scenic drive from Sarajevo toward the Volujak and Maglic region, followed by a warm-up hike to Kuk Peak before transferring to Tjentiste for the night.

Day two starts early with breakfast and a transfer to Prijevor, the usual starting point for the Maglic summit ascent. The route gains roughly 700 meters of elevation and offers dramatic views toward Trnovacko Lake, Montenegro, and the surrounding Dinaric Alps.
